    Job Summary:

    The bench engineer sits within the material support centre Team, reporting to the senior engineer. As a bench Engineer, your role will be working in our Electronics repair workshop in Loughton. The position is for the repair and refurbishment, of our Realtime passenger information systems hardware. This will involve a knowledge of our operating software, and associated support files required by our systems.
    Repairs will be to component level, with a good knowledge of through hole and SMD component replacement technology. With a good attention to detail, and accurate record keeping.
    The role also includes providing customer with quotations for chargeable repairs, and associated administration.

    Job Description

    The bench engineer sits within the material support center Team, reporting to the senior engineer.

    As a bench Engineer, your role will be working in our Electronics repair workshop in Loughton. The position is for the repair and refurbishment, of our Realtime passenger information systems hardware.     Responsibilities & Accountabilities include:

    Work with the engineering delivery team to understand commitments and work with the team to meet deadlines.

    Working to our ISO standards & 27001)

    Generate reports and maintain accurate up to date records at all times.

    Good knowledge of Excel, Word and access.

    Job Details and Benefits :

    There is a 6-month probation period where training will be provided, and clear goals and targets will be outlined. This is a full-time role: 37.5 hours week.
