    Description

    Our client, a leading global Insurer, are seeking a lawyer or claims manager with insurance claims experience to join there dedicated London Specialty Wholesale Claims team. This significant role demands comprehensive management and careful oversight of the Financial Institutions claims portfolio, offering the right candidate a chance to significantly contribute to key operational decisions on a global scale.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Directing all facets of the Financial Institutions claims process, from evaluation to resolution.
    • Engaging with internal stakeholders and collaborating on a global scale on Financial Institutions business and claims issues.
    • Performing in-depth examination, analysis, reserving, negotiation, and settlement of heavyweight Financial Institutions claims.
    • Adhering to all regulatory requirements and internal performance metrics.
    • Taking an active role in the negotiation and authorization of claim settlements, upholding our reputation as a market leader.

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • Demonstrated expertise in managing heavyweight Financial Institutions claims. Experience with other Product Line claims (e.g., Management Liability, Financial & Political Risk) is advantageous.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and familiarity with London market processes.
    • Exceptional communication abilities, capable of effective oral and written exchanges, and contributing positively to team dynamics.
    • Commitment to advancing organizational objectives, improving processes, and personal growth.
    • Previous leadership experience is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will show promise for future growth and exhibit a strong desire for professional development.

    This role will be hybrid. Applicants must be available for interview at short notice.
