    Assistant Headteacher (Secondary Lead)
    Location: Wolverhampton
    Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
    Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
    Salary: L1-L5

    An outstanding opportunity has emerged within a renowned network of schools known for their focus on special educational needs (SEN). This distinguished group is actively seeking a dedicated and innovative Assistant Headteacher to oversee the Secondary phase at their vibrant Wolverhampton location.

    The Assistant Headteacher will have a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape, spearheading the strategic vision and daily functions of the Secondary phase. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in cultivating an inclusive environment that fosters both diversity and academic excellence among all students.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement creative curriculum strategies catering to diverse learning needs.
    • Lead, motivate, and nurture a team of committed professionals, fostering a culture of continuous growth.
    • Maintain and elevate educational standards, discipline, and student welfare.
    • Collaborate with the Headteacher and senior leaders for seamless integration of educational practices.
    • Engage with parents and the wider community to build partnerships that enhance student well-being.
    • Ensure efficient resource utilization to meet educational objectives and oversee budget management.
    • Assess teaching methods' impact to optimize student progress.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong educational background.
    • Extensive experience in SEN environments, showing a profound grasp of challenges and opportunities in this sector.
    • Demonstrated leadership and managerial capabilities in a secondary school setting, ideally with assistant headship experience.
    • Proven track record of implementing effective strategies to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with stakeholders.
    • Commitment to school values, strong moral compass, and decision-making aligned with student interests.
    • Proactive approach to personal and professional development through ongoing training.

    All pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This role is temporary with a potential for permanency in the future.
