    Job Description

    My client, a top Quant Firm is looking for a junior execution trader. This is an amazing role . They want someone with a maximum (non negotiable) of 2 years experience in investment operations . You must have a full set of A's at A level, a 1st class degree in a maths, finance, tech or science based subject.

    Full right to work permanently in the UK with no requirement for sponsorship now or in the future.

    If you don't match the above the client will not be able to progress with your application.

    Daily tasks

    Support the platform across Asian, European and US markets.


    •

    Discussing a large and diverse range of ideas from dozens of top tier contributors from the world's leading sell side financial institutions.


    •

    Build and maintain a relationship with discretionary traders; engage with the drivers behind ideas and best practice for portfolio management.


    •

    Accurately capture ideas, load into our proprietary platform, and monitor the trade execution for the model. The opportunity to become a skilled execution trader, understanding market microstructure, liquidity, and execution channels.


    •

    Focus will be around equity ideas, but hedging these portfolios with derivatives will be common.


    •

    Apply risk checks to challenge contributors on their suggested portfolio adjustments.


    •

    Escalate execution issues and compliance concerns to the respective departments for timely review and resolution.


    •

    Strong work ethic, including willingness to work in rotational shift patterns to cover global markets.


    •

    Technically proficient with Excel.


    •

    Interest in global equites and capital markets.


    •

    Strong interpersonal skills, enjoys building relationships. Attention to detail with the utmost precision.


    •

    Will need to pass the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) prior to being granted trading authority, so a Finance based undergrad will help, but not essential.
