Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate senior nurse to join the Director of Nursing and the Deputy Directors of Nursing at Weston General Hospital which is part of UHBW, for a 12 month fixed term (secondment cover).
Weston is far reaching and includes the following specialties: the Adult Emergency Department, Care of the Older Adult including an Older Persons Assessment Unit, Acute Medicine Unit, Same Day Emergency Care, Respiratory High Care, Gastroenterology, Cardiology and Endocrinology.

Qualifications and TrainingNMC Registration (RN)
Educated to Master's Degree in a related subject (e.g. clinical or management) or hold an equivalent level professional qualification or be working towards
Able to build rapport and clinical credibility with senior clinical and managerial teams
Skills in deploying a creative, evidence-based approach to provide and set direction.
Extensive leadership and clinical operational management experience in a medium/large acute healthcare provider setting
Significant senior clinical management experience within a complex service provider organisation
Substantial clinical management experience and achievement at operational level
Understanding of current NHS National Policies
Demonstrable understanding of quality and risk management issues and standards. (Experience of managing/supporting major change projects and of delivering clinical services operationally during periods of change
Extensive knowledge of risk management systems and processes
To address and mitigate clinical/operational risks
Motivation - driven by a genuine interest and concern for the quality and appropriateness of patient services.
