    Working on iconic deals with national and global clients, we put together major mergers and acquisitions and resolve business crises - from international take-over bids to financial crime investigations and cases of insolvency.

    We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate.

    Our Real Estate Lead Advisory team is part of our Lead Advisory business unit within the Deals Line of Service. We provide Strategic, Commercial, Value and Financial Real Estate Advice and act as Lead Advisor for complex transactions for real estate investors, occupiers, land owners and devolved government.

    The team

    Our Real Estate Lead Advisory team is rapidly growing and consists of a range of talented professionals with experience across the real estate lifecycle; from initial strategy and business case development through procurement and operations to advising on M&A transactions and post deal services. Backgrounds range from those who joined PwC as graduates and experienced hires from property companies, investment banks, the NHS, other professional services firms, real estate investors, FM companies and the Civil Service.

    Our work and our capabilities across the team are broad and cover both real estate and social infrastructure advisory and real estate M&A. You could be providing strategic, commercial or financial advice, advising on the real estate operational requirements, delivering cost out programmes, undertaking financial and commercial analysis to support writing business cases, structuring and executing investment or financing transactions, capital raising or procuring PPPs, joint venture or management contracts.

    Responsibilities

    Include but are not limited to:

    • Preparing business-led real estate strategies, relocation and portfolio plans and business cases for leading companies.
    • Facilitating workshops with key stakeholders to assess portfolio performance, define strategic objectives and develop and appraise estate options.
    • Design asset, space and financial appraisal tools including discounted cash flow models to support estate option development and assessment.
    • Advising on cost reduction programmes across real estate and FM functions to drive out efficiencies including lease regearing, target operating model design, FM procurement and (re)negotiating contracts.
    • Supporting the definition of future operating model design principles and operating model design / implementation across areas including: capabilities, policies, organisational structures, skills, processes and systems / data
    • Assessing existing processes and developing optimum future processes across capabilities leveraging a sound understanding of corporate real estate management and/or investor and developer organisations.
    • Business development and sales activities including proposal writing, developing resource profiles, attending client pitches and meetings.

    You'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile, national and international projects that will enable you to reach your full potential. Regular overseas travel will be a key expectation of the role.

    The individual

    • Experience of working in management consulting, real estate advisory, facilities management and/or experience working in the corporate real estate function for organisations (public or private) with a significant property portfolio and associated operations.
    • Excellent understanding of strategic asset and estate management and the property market.
    • Experience of real estate and infrastructure projects gained from major corporate occupiers (public or private).
    • Experience of corporate real estate operating models and process design.
    • Has strong financial and analytical skills including the ability to oversee and review complex financial models, combined with a good commercial acumen and an understanding of business and finance.
    • Is a confident communicator, able to work effectively and interact with people at all levels.
    • Experience of business development, sales, presentations and pitches.
    • Ability to write clearly and concisely to communicate complex information in both documents and presentations.
    • The ability to lead, manage or work effectively within a team to deliver projects and solutions.
    • Relevant Degree (or equivalent) or relevant business master's degree and/or MRICS, IWFM (or equivalent) qualifications.
    • Is open to travel, both nationally and internationally
