    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within Liverpool City Council. We are looking to recruit a Public Health Practitioner (Addictions) to join our Public Health Team to support vital work to reduce harm from addictions in order to improve heath and reduce inequalities across Liverpool.

    The post holder will support the work of the Liverpool Tobacco Control Alliance to drive collective actions to achieve a smoke free Liverpool by 2030. They will also support the development of collaborative approaches to reducing alcohol-related harm in the City.

    We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with excellent public health skills to be a member of our innovative Public Health Team. The post will provide an opportunity for people who already have some experience in working in tobacco control and preventing alcohol harm to further develop their knowledge and skills.

    This post is initially funded until 31 March 2025 in order to strengthen the co-ordination and commissioning and grant reporting functions within Public Health and to meet current and future challenges.
