    Senior Business Analyst - London [hybrid, 2 days minimum in office]

    We are Compre,a leading legacy specialist with over 30 years of experience in the acquisition and management of discontinued and legacy non-life insurance and reinsurance business.As we continue our incredible journey of growth, we are seeking our first Senior Business Analyst to join the team, and play a crucial role in driving our digital transformation change projects, setting the foundation for the future. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, eliciting requirements, managing backlogs and ensuring successful delivery of data-driven projects.

    To succeed in this role, you'll have a strong background in the insurance industry, and solid expertise in developing and implementing business intelligence (BI) and advance data analytics solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Gather and analyse business requirements for data and analytics projects, including BI tools, data warehousing, and advanced analytics solutions.

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, and process flows.

    • Manage project backlogs, prioritise user stories, and facilitate sprint planning sessions using agile methodologies.

    • Ensure the successful implementation of data and analytics solutions by working closely with development teams and providing subject matter expertise.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their data needs, translating them into actionable requirements.

    • Conduct user acceptance testing ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements.

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

    Candidate requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on data and analytics projects in the insurance industry, and proven experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements for BI and advanced analytics solutions.

    • Proficient in data modelling, data visualisation, and data mining techniques.

    • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, backlog management and sprint planning.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into technical solutions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Knowledge of relevant data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R would be preferred.
