    Enforces database best practices and follows up on inconsistencies.
    Performs routine reviews of databases and systems to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
    Reports problem performance areas and recommendations for improvement.

    Anticipate hardware requirements and storage capacity planning for Development, Testing, Perf, Staging, and Production for scalable database growth and performance.

    Follows up on recommendations and actively pushes for implementation as appropriate.

    Understands and applies database concepts such as database definitions, parameters, database component placement, reorganisation, access methods and security definitions.

    Complete tasks & deliver projects on-time and to the highest standards.
    Critically analyse incidents affecting the databases, in order to decide where and what improvements are needed.

    Be able to install, maintain, support/troubleshoot predominantly Oracle products and help our business make best use of the technology.

    Troubleshoot and suggest solutions for database application issues across production, test and development environments.
    Configure and install from scratch Oracle database servers in nominal to complex configurations.
    Able to monitor, troubleshooting, performance tune high-availability databases in a 24x7 production environment
    Proactively monitor and optimise for better performance
    Research and recommend innovative tools and where possible automated approaches for system and database administration tasks
    Experience with DB utilities such as exp, IMP, SQL loader, expdp, impdp
    Be flexible to support the database systems outside of working hours during major sport events (in rota with his peers and team mates)
    Work according to Agile development team (Scrum) practices.
    Good oral and written English communication skills
    3+ years of experience focused on Oracle DBA administration in medium to large corporate environments.
    ~ Proven experience of Oracle 19c, RAC, RMAN, DataGuard.
    ~ Experience on Exadata Database Systems
    ~ Solid knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and SQL Tuning.
    ~ Solid knowledge of Linux OS and shell scripting
    ~ Solid understanding of Dedicated and Shared Server configurations
    ~ Applications in English please
