    Wigan

    Full Time Permanent

    Office Based

    8.30am till 5pm

    Salary is open, depending on candidates experience and salary expectations

    Our client is one of the UK's leading specialist electrical contracting companies with over 35 years'​ experience in the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of life-safety systems including fire alarms, security systems, emergency lighting, CCTV, voice alarm systems and call systems.

    Whatever the project – be it a completely new installation or the simple upgrade or servicing of an existing system – their team of experienced sales and engineering team will deliver.

    They offer no-nonsense advice and assist with all aspects of product specification, project design, installation, maintenance and after-sales service for any size or type of commercial, industrial or domestic project. As their growing list of accreditations testifies, that are one of the few UK companies truly qualified to meet the complex requirements of today's multi-purpose sites.

    Our rapidly growing client are looking to recruit an experienced Bid Writer to be based in their Wigan office working across all business units.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Find out about possible business opportunities.
    • Identify frameworks for new business tenders.
    • Work with clients and planning teams.
    • Collect data for bids.
    • Present technical information in a way that is easy to understand.
    • Keep accurate records and save material to a 'bid library' for future use.
    • Design, write, edit and submit bid documents.

    • Experience of being part of a successful bids and tenders
    • Excellent communicator
    • A high attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability
    • Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary
    • Deadline driven with effective time management skills.
    • Thrive in a busy environment.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
    • Experience in the construction or facilities business sector.
    • Proven successful bid involvement.
    • Can demonstrate effective bid writing skills
