    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

    The shift pattern is Monday-Sunday, day and night shifts. Rotational 11.5 hour shifts (37.5 hours).

    In order to apply for this position you must have a Live PIN with the NMC UK

    Please note that for this post, no newly qualified practitioner for 2024 will be considered for this role.

    An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within Ward C, Stroke Rehabilitation, Stobhill Hospital. Stroke Rehabilitation is a rewarding speciality which provides the opportunity to play a very privileged role in the rehabilitation of individuals with sudden life changing challenges. Complex family support and discharge planning are key aspects of this role. Due to national Stroke priorities learning opportunities are available to develop personal knowledge and key nursing skills. Stroke Rehabilitation has male & female patients of all ages at different stages in their journey. The unit works directly and closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

    The role requires a motivated individual with a strong desire to work to make a difference and deliver quality care in Stroke Rehabilitation. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC. Previous rehabilitation nursing experience would be desirable but not essential.
