    Description

    Osborne Appointments are looking for a Production Shift Manager to oversee daily production operations for our client based in Bletchley, MK1 1QU.

    The Production Shift Manager will be ensuring the work is produced safely and efficiently whilst maintaining quality standards

    What you will do:

    • Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet production targets and customer demand.
    • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of production operators, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management.
    • Monitor production equipment and machinery, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to optimize production processes and resolve any operational challenges.
    • Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production reports, and performance metrics.
    • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

    We are looking for:

    • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
    • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficient in using production management software and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
