    Job Title:
    Fire and Security Engineer

    Job Type:
    Full-time

    Salary:
    Dependent on experience £35,000 to £45,000

    We are looking for a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team at Scarlett Fire and Security. In this role, you will work on client sites installing, servicing, and maintaining fire and security systems. The ideal candidate should be a technical expert with both experience and qualifications in the field. They need to have a solid technical background and great problem-solving abilities to handle different client needs effectively in a fast-paced business setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, service, and maintain various fire and security systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
    • Regularly test and inspect systems to ensure they are functional and meet safety standards.
    • Troubleshoot and fix faults in fire and security systems.
    • Offer technical support and guidance to clients.
    • Ensure all tasks are done to high standards and comply with industry regulations.
    • Keep accurate records of all work done.
    • Take part in an on-call schedule for emergency callouts.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Relevant technical qualifications in fire and security systems or electrical engineering.
    • Experience with a variety of fire and security system brands and models.
    • Demonstrated experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining fire and security systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of current industry standards and regulations.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Possession of a full driver's license and willingness to travel to different client locations.
    • Strong communication skills and professionalism when dealing with clients.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
    • Flexibility to join out-of-hours emergency callouts.
    • Previous experience in direct customer-facing roles.

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., FIA, ECS).
    • Additional certifications or training related to fire and security systems.
    • Familiarity with network systems and IP-based security solutions.
    • Experience mentoring junior engineers and apprentices.
    • Proficiency in project leadership.
