    Role

    This role is a great opportunity for the successful candidate(s) to develop their career in enforcement, leading on some of the most interesting, challenging and high profile enforcement cases undertaken by the Pensions Regulator.�

    Our enforcement activity ranges from multi-million pound claims, to prohibiting individuals, to fraud prosecutions and beyond � so whatever your enforcement background, there is an opportunity to grow and develop your career, with the help of our excellent induction programme and the support of a truly diverse and inclusive team.

    Responsibilities

    You will:�

    � � �once our investigations team have completed their work, take ownership of the criminal/regulatory enforcement case(s) allocated to you and deliver them to their conclusion.

    � � �work with a broad range of internal case team advisers (lawyers, accountants, actuaries and investment consultants), building your own knowledge and working as a case team.

    � � �work with external counsel and experts (when required) and manage the budget for their costs.

    � � �deliver your cases within Key Performance Indicators and escalate to senior colleagues within a clear decision-making framework.

    � � �establish and deliver enforcement case strategies.

    � � �draft enforcement notices.

    � � �negotiate potentially high-value settlements, where appropriate.

    � � �support colleagues/managers on their cases � and be supported on your cases.

    � � �contribute to the continued development of our team, directorate and organisation.

    Person specification

    Essential and Desirable Criteria

    Essential�

    � � �Experience of decision making and delivering outcomes in challenging enforcement/litigation cases.�

    � � �Experience of analysing complex information.

    � � �Experience of communicating at all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders.

    � � �Drafting skills in an enforcement/litigation context, including drafting escalations, legal documents and presentations.�

    � � �Demonstrable experience of negotiation/influencing stakeholders in an enforcement/litigation context.

    Desirable�

    � � �Working in or leading multi-skilled enforcement/litigation teams.

    � � �Experience of using risk mitigation strategies and techniques.�

    � � �Awareness of relevant aspects of investigation techniques and legal requirements.�
