Specialist Teaching Assistant

90 per hour / £83.

Full time: 8:30 - 3:30, Monday - Friday

Contract:
Temporary, with the potential of a permanent contract offer (performance dependant)

Start date: 03 June 2024 and continuing into the new academic year

At Teaching Personnel, we are the market leaders in education to provide additional support to schools in the local area across South Wales.

We are proud to be working with a school within Cardiff, specifically in the Ely area which specialise in supporting young people with additional learning needs.

We are currently looking for 2 Teaching Assistants to start 03 June 2024 to work on a full time capacity to support a range of pupils on both a 1:1 and small group setting.

The young people are aged and have a range of additional needs. This can include Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Complex Medical Needs and Severe learnings difficulties.

Due to the nature of the young peoples needs, we will need an experienced individual which is passionate about working in the Education Sector.

The following training would be advantageous: (Manual handling training

Team Teach Training (Or other deescalation training)
Medical administration training
Communication aid training e.g. The school is united by a collective of 3 sites. All 3 sites are situated in the same area but provide support to different aged pupils and needs. What benefits do I get with Teaching Personnel?

07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
