- Support patients, carers and others during difficult situations arising in the clinical area, imparting bad news or following an unexpected event.
- Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy designed to protect healthcare staff and service users from known hazards.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced Nurse to apply for a full time post as a Band 6 Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 23 Head & Neck / Urology.
The ideal candidate would have complex airway management skills including Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy, however this is not a requirement and you can gain these once in post. The candidate should be able to demonstrate high standards of patient care, have excellent communication skills and be able to engage other staff in improvement initiatives to inspire the ward in their accreditation journey.
The post will be full time working a mixture of long days and nights. Please call Sophie Graney if you wish to discuss your skills/experience in relation to airway management. Experienced Band 5s who are enthusiastic and willing to learn and lead are encouraged to apply.
