    We are looking for a

    Business Development Manager – New Homes

    Location: Home & Field Based Reporting to: Area Director

    The role

    To contribute to the overall delivery of the New Homes team commercial targets by prospecting new accounts to achieve individual revenue goals and activity targets. Source, convert and onboard new business opportunities, before working closely with the Account Management Team to transition them across following their minimum contract term.

    A typical week as a Business Development Manager might involve -

  • Identify and contact new customers through dedicated prospecting time
  • Achieving individual sales revenue and activity targets
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the new homes industry
  • Ensure that all accounts have a clear understanding of Rightmove products and pricing structure and to deliver value-added solutions against their business needs
  • To liaise with internal support functions such as Customer Services and Finance to ensure smooth management of the billing & administration process for your customer base, plus the provision of any supporting sales reports
  • Interpret data and information in review meetings with customers enabling them to better understand their business and market
  • Manage the day-to-day relationships with external parties in support of company objectives and policy
  • Drive the satisfactory resolution of customer queries and disputes
  • Be a positive role model and ambassador of Rightmove company values and behaviours
  • Take responsibility for self-development, to support the achievement of personal objectives while being part of a team
  • Actively participate in on-going training and coaching, working closely with your manager
  • Maintain a CRM database of your customers & process all orders / sales in a timely and accurate manner
  • Meetings with customers will be a mix of field based & virtual (approx. 50/50) but diary autonomy is part of the role - patch will cover large parts of the UK so may involve frequent travel & will require exceptional diary management.
  • We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in successfully prospecting, building and delivering growth from a new customer base and able to evidence success in a Business Development role
  • Follows a consultative sales process, focused on building a platform for long term sustainable growth through selling to customer needs
  • Is tenacious and self motivated
  • Is driven to identify challenges and work with teams across the business to find ways to continually improve performance
  • Can develop their skills and can challenge existing processes
  • Is excited about the opportunity to accelerate growth within rightmove's core business
  • Is able to build strong, multi level relationships with decision makers in our customers' business
  • Open and honest team player who would thrive on regular coaching
  • Excellent eye for attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical and confident with data analysis
  • Able to thrive in a hardworking and dynamic team
  • Driven to exceed team targets, standards and expectations
  • Drives for results to achieve commercial goals and has the ability to create solutions and share success amongst colleagues
