We're recruiting on behalf of a Tameside-based Secondary School who are searching for a School based Personal Assistant.

We are looking for someone who has prior experience in a similar environment and who can start ASAP.

They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the value, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions.

To oversee and contribute to an effective administration service to the school, ensuring duties are assigned and cover, including supply, is arranged where necessary
To be responsible for communications between the school and parents/carers, including briefing notes, newsletters, letters home and some telephone calls
To act as a personal assistant to the Headteacher in meeting the varied and changing administrative and organisational needs of the school
To be responsible for the maintenance and publication of the school calendar on the website and social media pages
With close liaison with the Headteacher and SLT to ensure that in relation to the catering and facilities staff, duties such as ordering of refreshments, room booking requirements, servicing meetings are carried out by the administration team
To work alongside the Headteacher, school business manager and other trust staff to manage and welcome visitors and support the administration of the school
Assist and support the hosting of events that take place in school
Monday - Friday Term Time only - 8.Have ideally either School-based experience or experience within a PA role prior
Experience dealing with face-to-face and telephone interactions
Experience working with children or young people
Be able to commit to this position potentially longer-term

Successful candidates will be required to conduct an interview and complete a vetting process which includes an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, if you do not have one, you can get one through Connex Education if you do not already have one.
