    Exciting opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing organisation based in Greater Manchester, an opportunity for a Maintenance engineer to join an already established maintenance team and an organisation that continues to grow and have great plans for the future.

    This is an opportunity work with some finest machine tools and equipment throughout the UK and join a team on maintenance engineers who have been with the organisation for years, who can offer support and knowledge as and when needed.

    The Maintenance engineer position is commutable from the following locations:
    Benefits the Maintenance Engineer will receive:
    ~32 days holiday
    ~ Early finish on Friday

    Shift the maintenance engineer will be required to work: Double Days – Mornings and Afternoons – Early finishes on Friday.

    We are looking for a Mechanical biased maintenance engineer. Holding a Minimum of 5 years within Engineering.
    Must hold experience with CNC Control systems, ideally FANUC / Siemens / YASNAC
    Understanding of technical manuals and Engineering Drawings
    Previous experience within Machine shop Environment
    Apprentice trained holding a City & Guilds /ONC/HNC/HND in mechanical engineering.

    This position will also require you to work within confined spaces, on occasions the position can be demanding so we are looking for a Driven individual who is able to work Quickly and under pressure and can meet deadline.

    Shift in place for the
    Maintenance Electrician: 12Hr shift – Days and Nights – Rotating system.

    The successful Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for the following:

    Provide technical support to all departments ensuring safe and efficient maintenance.
    Maximise plant Up time and minimise plant Down time.
    Communicate at all levels of Engineering and Production Departments the status of plants and ongoing projects.
    Investigate, report, and resolve repetitive engineering faults.
    Maintain the computerised maintenance system shift logs, follow up actions, fault, and diagnosis.
    Carry out risk assessments, issue permits to work and supervise engineering contractors.
    Design, build and commission control system upgrades and plant improvement projects.
    Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations and portable appliances.
    Organise and supervise planned work for the craftsmen with assistance from the computerised maintenance system and engineering planner.
    Organise and control weekend work on a rota basis.

    The ideal candidate will be Apprentice trained, holding a HNC / City & Guilds in Electrical / Electronic engineering.

    Holding strong fault-finding abilities with Siemens PLC's
    Flexibility is key to this role – Must be happy to work a rotating 12hr shift pattern.

    They are currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician who holds previous experience within a Blow moulding / Plastics Environment.

    Previous experience within a Heavy Manufacturing Environment
    Proven experience within a Similar Role, Conducting both Electrical and mechanical repairs.
    Strong fault-finding abilities on PLC's – ideally Siemens.
    Carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the production lines.
    Work through a programme of PPM and helping develop the agility maintenance system.
    Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility.
    Order and Collect Spare electrical / Mechanical materials.

    The Service engineer will be required to travel to a Geographic Timetable, so we are looking for a engineer who is happy to commute UK BASED and at Times overseas.

    Key Responsibilities the

    Maintenance Manager:

    To ensure that all activities associated with the Maintenance team are carried out in compliance to legislation and company standards for Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.

    Liaise with departments to support the effective running of production.

    To ensure the effectiveness of the Maintenance Department and team, contribute to decision-making process to achieve higher standards in associated field of activities.

    Act as an advocate for improvement and change across all engineering functions at all levels.

    To promote a positive environment which engineering is seen by management, employees, neighbours, customers, and other off-site agencies as being fundamental to the company's day to day operations.

    Ensure policies, programmes, systems, procedures, and registrations are developed and maintained to meet company and regulatory requirements.
    Support the effective running of production.
    Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities.

    Ensure the Maintenance Management Software is updated and utilised effectively and in the absence of the Engineering Coordinator is resourced efficiently.

    Manage calibration, testing schedules and associated record keeping.

    Manage all engineering regulatory inspection schedules and associated documentation for compliance to the standards required and associated record keeping.

    Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities.
    Ideally, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Split. Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge.
    Holding a Formal qualification in Engineering – Level 3
    Previous experience within a Chemical Plant or Heavy engineering.

    Maintenance Electrician Duties:

    Trouble shooting and Fault Finding on various machines including Injection Moulding Machines, Extruders, Grinders, Rotational Moulding Machines, and associated ancillaries.

    Planned Preventative Maintenance.
    Identifying parts required to carry out repairs and providing details to the Maintenance Manager.
    Using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete projects.
    Testing of fixed installations.
    Some building maintenance such as lighting & small power.
    Installation of 3 phase supplies & associated switchgear.
    Highlighting potential problems with aging switchgear and advising the correct course of action for rectification.


    Maintenance Electrician Requirements:
    Experience with Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC's. – Experience with Grinders, Extruders, Injection Moulding machinery.
    Dealing with some Plant maintenance such as Lighting and Small power.
    Must be Apprentice trained, holding a Formal qualification in Electrical engineering.

    As Service Engineer you will support with the ongoing servicing and maintenance of the product which is very key to the safety.

    This is a Monday – Friday role 9am – 5pm with benefits including:
