    Default job background
    Full time
    Description

We welcome applications from people with interest and academic expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM) to join our team and contribute to the exciting growth of the Changing World of Work Group at Cranfield School of Management.

We welcome applications from people with interest and academic expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM) to join our team and contribute to the exciting growth of the Changing World of Work Group at Cranfield School of Management.

The Group provides thought leadership in areas such as emerging technologies and work, generational diversity; gender, leadership and inclusion, global mobility, HR and technology, organisation design, flexible; and agile working and employee engagement, and brings together expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM), Employment Relations, Organisational Behaviour (OB) and Diversity.

This is a flourishing group that is particularly active in relation to producing high quality applied research, and includes the Gender, Leadership & Inclusion Centre (GLIC).

The Group has ambitious plans including the development of a digital learning pathway in HRM, and a range of Executive Development offerings.

This role would suit a recent doctoral graduate with the potential to develop into an outstanding academic or someone in the first few years of their academic career that seeks to progress their research and scholarship, in an applied and commercially focused school, while teaching a variety of audiences.

Each member of faculty is allowed 40 per cent of their time to focus on research and scholarship, practitioner/policy engagement and/or business development.

This post will be offered initially on the Research & Teaching career pathway as the successful candidate may be expected to support funded research projects within the Group.

This role is initially offered as a two-year fixed-term post but given the growth trajectory of the Group, it is hoped that this could become a permanent role in the future.

You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant area, and you will be able to demonstrate experience of, or potential for, teaching, training or executive development in HRM.

With excellent communication skills, you will be able to collaborate effectively with students, executive learners, academics, practitioners and policy makers.

Experience of teaching and leading modules or programmes at post-graduate level and of developing digital modules is preferred. Applications from those with an interest in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (alongside HRM) are particularly welcome.

In return, you will have exciting opportunities for career development, whilst joining a supportive team environment and contributing to this growing area of importance within the School.

As a specialist postgraduate university, Cranfield's world-class expertise, large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships are creating leaders in technology and management globally.

Cranfield School of Management has long been recognised as a leading centre of excellence for Organisational Behaviour.
