In support of unprecedented growth, PwC's Consulting practice currently has a vacancy in its FS Enterprise Transformation team, for a high performing Manager who will focus on the Asset Management & Asset Servicing sector, in the field of Operating Model Design and Implementation resulting from a number of different types of change: core platform change, new product, merger/acquisition, start up, cost reduction, outsourcing, globalisation.

Enterprise Transformation (ET) is at the centre of designing and implementing multi competency changes at the heart of our clients' organisations through designing and implementing the right enterprise operating model or supporting them on their most complex of change programmes.

Our Clients / The Market

As a Manager you are expected to primarily work on client engagements, contributing to and leading transformation projects. However, we pride ourselves in bringing the very latest thinking to our clients and so you will also be expected to be a part of developing our ET solutions, and growing your own ideas, within the Asset Management and Servicing area.

Our client base covers a breadth of organisations spanning: Traditional & Alternative Fund Managers, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Fund Service Providers (Administrators, Transfer Agents, Depositaries), Prime Brokers and Custodians. These are primarily large multinational organisations who are leaders in their respective markets.

Our engagements are consistently part of the global asset management agenda, supporting our clients through fundamental changes in their businesses and positively affecting the lives of people all over the world. Typical engagements include:

• Supporting the CEO and COO of a global Asset Manager to achieve 20% cost reduction across their global operations
• Review of current and design of future operating model to support the ambitions of the business strategy of a large pension fund manager
• Scaling-for-growth review of the current state operating model and design of the future state of a large US-based asset manager
• Design of an operating model for a new Fund Services business, bringing together a leading UK Depositary and Luxembourg-based ManCo business
• Design of the operating model to support the launch of a new sovereign wealth fund targeted to replace fossil fuel incomes
• Design and implementation of an operating model to support the pan-european legal entity structure of one of Italy's biggest asset managers
• Design of the operating model of a new Southeast Asian state investment fund targeted to provide capital for future infrastructure investment

• Manage/lead workstreams within engagements to design enterprise operating models and deliver enterprise transformation change projects to a high standard

Requirements

Joining our team as a Manager, we would expect you to have good experience of operating model design and large change projects preferably within a consulting environment or leading asset management focused business. You will have been able to demonstrate a track record of high-quality design and delivery success in the work you have undertaken to date.

• Very good general business knowledge within the whole Asset Management value chain - Front Office, Middle Office as well as Back Office.
• Has experience as a solutions architect and is able to 'own' part or all of the new business architecture vision on behalf of stakeholders
• Has experience designing future state asset management operating models resulting from a variety of change catalysts such as: core platform change, new product, merger/acquisition, start up, cost reduction, outsourcing, globalisation
• Excellent track record as a Subject Matter Expert in 2-3 functions within the Asset Management value chain, from both internal and outsourced perspective.
• Excellent track record of Target Operating Model Design and Implementation, including structured business analysis, functional decomposition, sourcing model, data model, organisational model as well as high level technical architecture.
• Excellent track record of >5 years as a Programme/Project Management or Workstream Lead for large complex asset management projects as well as Stakeholder Management.
• Experience with one or more of State Street, BNY Mellon, NT and BNP Paribas Securities Services.
• Strong knowledge of the PMO function, for example, planning, status reporting, SteerCo reporting.

Prefered

• It is likely that your work will be part of wider transformational programmes and hence experience in delivering other competencies (Digital Services, Cloud Transformation, Regulatory) is desirable
• Ideally you will have attained a professional qualification, for example, PRINCE2.
