    Role:

    As the senior ESG Reporting Business & Data Analyst within the Client Reporting function, you will contribute to the evolution of our ESG Client Reporting offering covering Client, Product and Regulatory Reporting.

    We are looking for someone who is keen to develop a detailed and deep understanding of our reporting functon and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our ESG Reporting. This is a varied and visible role that will showcase your interpersonal, analytical, project management and technical skills.

    Client Reporting is positioned within Investment Operations. The scope of the role is broad and there will be regular and ongoing involvement with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Externally you will interact with clients, consultants, data and technology vendors and other third party providers. Internally, key interactions will be with relationship managers, product strategists, portfolio managers, technology and functional teams such as compliance, risk, legal, middle office and and product.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the development, execution and delivery of our ESG client reporting strategy.
    • Analyse data chains. Explore external and internal ESG data sources and reference data.
    • Utilise your project management skills to successfully execute on data driven projects through all aspects of data operations, business requirements analysis, solicitation, definition, communication, assessment, and validation.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders along the delivery chain, acting as the key liaison for ESG data reporting enhancement request management.
    • Lead requirements gathering and technical design discussions as subject matter expert, producing business requirements and other key artifacts with consideration for scope, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
    • Effectively communicate between business users, developers and project stakeholders to ensure requirements and deliverables are concise and well understood.
    • Develop, communicate, and explain epics & stories for agile sprints.
    • Participate in test-plan preparation, reviews and end user acceptance testing execution.
    • Complete documentation in support of project deliverables including steering group status update materials, process flows and training guides.
    • Participate in industry forums and maintain knowledge of ESG developments and technology relevant to the function. Build relevant vendor relationships.
    • Review operating model, controls and data flow/mapping so as to embed best practices, drive continuous improvement and ensure risk excellence is maintained.
    • Contribute to RFP, ODD, Audit and ESG query responses.
    • Evolve KRI and KPI to effectively measure progress and to identify areas for refinement / improvement. Produce team presentation materials.
    • Represent the team and the function during both internal and external client meetings.
    • Support the broader Client Reporting function as required.

    Skills/Attributes required:

    • Project management skills essential.
    • Proven ability to plan and run multiple priorities with capability to adapt and be flexible to changes in a delivery focused environment.
    • Business analysis skills and ability to clearly document requirements.
    • Analytical and inquisitive with strong attention to detail.
    • Solution orientated. Driven and resilient. Comfortable with change.
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to build and maintain positive working relationships.
    • Articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels.

    Education and Experience required:

    • Degree qualified with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
    • Industry qualifications considered an advantage.
    • 7+ years prior industry experience, ideally wih a focus on ESG data and reporting.
    • Familiarity with ESG metrics such as ESG ratings, climate metrics, asset stewardship and engagement data.
    • Broad understanding investment markets. Product experience desirable: Bonds, Equities, FX, Futures, Pooled / Mutual Funds.
    • Proven track record in business analysis and successful project management experience with globally distributed project teams.
    • Knowledge of the data lifecycle across multiple data domains, including pricing, accounting, performance, attribution and analytics.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and working proficiency of Visio, Powerpoint, and Word. Factset and PORT knowledge an advantage. Prior experience with client reporting tools, CRM systems, performance systems and accounting systems is desired.
