    The Senior Buyer role provides a professional procurement striving to achieve value for money and high stakeholder satisfaction.

    The role delivers outcomes and objectives as agreed with the Procurement Manager whilst also managing subcontract procurement for the programme of works.

    Ensure that appropriate behaviours and approaches are always adopted, leading by example in the pursuit of successful delivery of the project.

    In partnership with the Procurement Manager approve bid proposals and specifications to make recommendations on purchases.
    Undertake supplier approval administration duties and supplier relationship building.
    Arrange for delivery of ordered material to expedite flow of materials and meet programme schedules.
    Provide support to Project teams and wider Alliance disciplines on issues concerning purchasing.
    Meet with operational teams and deliver their buying requirements.
    Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with Alliance procurement strategy and associated policies and procedures.

    Executing end to end procurement processes, including data collection, document preparation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management.

    Maintain auditable records in line with governance and contract.
    Feed into the PPC weekly reporting schedule
    Maintain / update the Alliance Procurement Schedule.
    Embed the use of Asite with the project teams.
    Undertake any other reasonable duties required in line with capabilities and the needs of the project.

    Previous exposure of procurement experience as a Senior Buyer.
    Proven ability to expertly use a range of relevant software.
    Ability to present and communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner ensuring clarity and understanding.
