    Primary Purpose / Regulatory Responsibilities:

    As Medical Solution Lead Rare Diseases UK you:

    • Ensure the highest possible scientific standards in the implementation of the strategy and the tactical execution in UK supporting and collaborating with local MSLs
    • Are responsible for the local adaptation and translation of appropriate scientific content and securing connection with UK team. In relation to this you address barriers to the efficient development of materials and assets for the field
    • Are responsible for driving the localization and implementation of the medical plan in UK under the leadership of the Medical Strategy Lead & FML UK in collaboration with the MSLs, ESL as well as marketing solution lead and cross-functional partners. Collaborate within UK by driving the iterative insight process, sharing learnings and insights with the aim to enable and enhance projects in UK
    • Ensure the delivery of high value for patients, HCPs and Payers according to the highest standards of science, ethics, compliance and quality
    • Show strong collaboration skills with all external and internal stakeholders and specifically with the solution leads, the medical team and the ESL.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Activities & Deliverables:

    Solutions – localization and implementation of the scientific solutions within the global Patient Value Strategy:

    • Implement the local medical solutions as they were defined in the local Patient Value Brand Plan
    • Localize global medical solutions for UK in line with local insights and budget
    • Implement specific local solutions in a timely manner according to the Patient Value Brand Plan (e.g. MSL materials, advisory boards, RWE, local and international congresses, medical trainings for customer facing roles, contribute to cycle meetings, etc.) and ensure the project management and budget follow-up
    • Ensure all promotional and medical solutions have obtained local ethics & compliance approval and where needed legal check
    • Partner and drive key projects in collaboration with key external stakeholders with the aim to drive patient value
    • Align with the Marketing Solution Lead to ensure the highest scientific standards of promotional materials and projects
    • Reference point for guideline initiatives in terms of scientific content

    Planning – Collaborate on annual planning processes

    • Collaborate on the annual local Patient Value Brand Plan (PVBP)
    • Integrate and align global medical strategies and tactics in local PVBP together with Medical Strategy Lead
    • Collaborate with the Medical Strategy Lead & FML UK and area head of UK to ensure that the local PVBP initiatives are optimally balanced to drive maximum patient value

    Connectivity

    • Act as ethics and compliance pillar, ensuring materials are consistent and disseminated appropriately, driving integrity towards our external stakeholders through training sessions (e.g. cycle meetings) building partner relationships with key external (agencies, key opinion leaders, patient association, payer, health authorities) and internal stakeholders

    Education Level

    Master's Degree

    Ph.D. (preferred)

    COMPETENCIES

    • Experience in Rare diseases is essential, preferably Neurology, Immunology
    • (National Language) and English proficiency is mandatory
    • +5 years of experience in stakeholder facing roles within healthcare
    • Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams
    • Knowledge of local healthcare compliance and pharma environment
    • Strong written and verbal communications
    • Experience in medical plan execution
    • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex subjects with clarity, ease and executive presence (story telling skills)
    • Adaptability: comfortable working with complexity in a fluid environment
    • Health ecosystem awareness and experience of policy/guidelines shaping
    • Strong customer focus operating skills and sense of urgency
    • Digital Literacy and agile mindset
