    Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School is a high quality, vibrant, nurturing and ambitous school with an excellent reputation in its community.

    We have 2 SEN Units, with this particular post being for our SLD provision, working with children from Reception to Year 2.

    Currently, the provision is for 15 children working with 1 teacher and 3 Learning Support Officers.     About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced SEN specialist teacher.

    The successful candidate will work with pupils who have a variety of complex needs, including communication, behaviour, social and emotional difficulties and a diagnosis of Autism.

    The successful candidate MUST be able to provide evidence of the following:

    The successful candidates will:

    • Have excellent classroom practice
    • Be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of working with children with a wide range of special educational needs, including those with complex autism, trauma and attachment related conditions
    • Further assist us in building our reputation of high quality specialist support for young people with complex learning needs
    • Have significant experience of using recognised and appropriate teaching strategies for this group of learners
    • Have significant experience of using recognised and appropriate assessment strategies for this group of learners
    • Be a proven team player who is able to motivate, lead and support teams of colleagues
    • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with parents, carers, colleagues and liaise with other multi-agency professionals
    • Be a teacher with vision, creativity, drive and passion who will contribute not just to the development of the SEN Units, but to the development of the whole school
