- To provide commercial oversight of M&E specialisms on one or more of our exciting projects
- To ensure commercial & contractual control and co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of a range of specified projects
- To manage a small team of quantity surveyors on a single large project or across a number of project
- To provide guidance to other members of the Commercial/quantity surveying team and Project Directors/Managers on all aspects relating to commercial activity on the specified projects
- Lead a commercial team and work closely with operational team, managing both budget and programme
- Experiencing of administering contracts and working on projects in excess of 50m in a collaborative and engaging environment is essential
- Liaison with multiple stakeholders and good communication skills is a key aspect of this project, and you should be comfortable communicating at all levels within an organisation
- You will be working across both the Pre-Construction and Construction phases of the project, and a strong background in 2-stage tendering would be advantageous
- Manage all aspects of the MEP commercial performance of the contract across both the Pre-Construction and Construction stages of the scheme
- Play an active part in the commercial settlement and business governance process, working with other project disciplines such as design, programme, finance, operations etc.
- Lead the contract administration (upstream and downstream), as well sub-contract procurement with our procurement teams
- Lead a team to ensure that all contractual responsibilities have been discharged, including applications, cost value reconciliations, managing variations and entitlements to recovery
- Lead on risk management activities through the lifecycle of the project
- Provide regular updates both internally and externally on costs, liabilities, margin and risk
- Operate within the business delegated levels of authority and provide active commercial support to the Project Director and Senior Leadership Teams

As a Commercial Manager you will:

We're looking for experienced professionals with a proven track record of successful M&E delivery who want to come and work in an exciting and fast paced environment.
It is essential that you are comfortable in front of customers and project stakeholders and that you can communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels within a business.
You must be organised and work well in an environment that has tight deadlines and requires attention to detail. Analytical skills are a key requirement.
Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract would be advantageous, as would Tier 1 contractor experience.
You must be able to work well as part of a wide team and be comfortable working in the commercial, industrial and infrastructure buildings sector.
