    Locum Practice Manager


    Duration:
    Full-time, 6-month contract

    GP Surgery

    This is a well-established general practice serving the community of Preston and surrounding areas. Committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services, we prioritize patient care and satisfaction.

    We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Practice Manager to join our team for a period of six months.


    As a Locum Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice during this interim period.

    You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the surgery, supporting our team of healthcare professionals, and ensuring exceptional patient care delivery.

    Oversee the daily operations of the GP surgery, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.

    • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure availability of necessary resources for patient care.
    • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to optimize practice workflows.

    Financial Administration:

    • Manage billing and invoicing processes, including handling patient payments and insurance claims.
    • Monitor practice finances, budgeting, and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders such as insurers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies regarding financial matters.
    Conduct staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations as necessary.

    • Address staff concerns and grievances in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
    Handle patient feedback, complaints, and inquiries promptly and courteously.

    • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor practice performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Implement quality assurance measures to uphold clinical excellence and patient safety.
    Previous experience in practice management within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP surgery or primary care environment.

    • Proficiency in IT systems and software commonly used in healthcare administration.
    • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or administration are desirable.
