    Job Summary:
    The Clinical Nurse Specialist/Specialist Midwife will be an experienced practitioner within their specialty, providing clinical support independently or assisting with intervention procedures. The role requires personal professional autonomy and making clinical judgments to ensure successful patient outcomes.
    Main Duties of the Job:
    • Co-ordinate speciality care within the Trust/CCG, including outreach clinics.
    • Essential member and point of contact for the multi-disciplinary team, patients, and carers.
    • Carry out diagnostic/therapeutic interventions independently and commence further treatment based on findings.
    • Develop new skills to provide expert nurse-led services.
    • Provide ongoing follow-up care and support through various clinics.
    • Develop interdisciplinary clinical management protocols.
    • Line manage staff and provide advanced specialist knowledge and education.

    • MSc level learning
    • RN/RM - Part 1
    • Relevant specialist course
    • Mentorship course
    • Advanced training in procedures relevant to speciality
    Desirable:
    • Knowledge of quality standards
    • Counselling course
    • Non-Medical Prescribing
    Experience
    Essential:
    • Senior clinical experience
    • Practice Guideline Development
    • Leadership qualities
    • Prioritization and organization skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
    • Using healthcare resources effectively
    Desirable:
    • Lead an audit/research study
    • Presentation and publishing experience
    • Caseload management
