- Management - includes cost centre management, budget prep & management of allocated budget and resources Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, inc. all medical and nursing, paramedical and retrieval services at both clinical and administrative levels.
- Lead and participate in continuing medical education, professional development, peer review, research and teaching,including teaching.
- Collaborate as a member of the Top End Emergency Medicine Network and the Katherine Hospital Medical Leadership Group.
- FACEM or FACRRM.
- Recent relevant experience in emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead a multidisciplinary clinical team and provide medical officer supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively in a cross cultural work environment.
- Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research and quality assurance activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

This job is based in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia and is a Clinical Director post.
CLINICAL DIRECTOR EMERGENCY MEDICINE, Remote and Rural.
Remuneration of up to $600k + entitlements includes
$30k professional development allowance.
38 hr week.
Overtime payments.
On-call allowances.
Annual leave.
Long service leave.
Opportunity for an immersive cultural experience working with Aboriginal patients with preserved language and culture. The hospital prides themselves on their engagement with patients and culturally safe practice.
