    Description

    Finance Transformation Analyst

    The Finance and Actuarial Transformation Team at our group is at the forefront of driving initiatives to evolve our departments into a data-driven organization. This transformation aims to leverage cutting-edge technology, streamline processes, and enhance collaboration with business stakeholders to support sustainable growth within Munich Re's Global Specialty Insurance division, focusing on the Global Market business.

    In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in reshaping the Finance function, covering Financial Operations, Accounting, and Regulatory Reporting. Your responsibilities will involve identifying improvement areas, creating compelling business cases, documenting requirements, and collaborating on solution design and testing.

    • Collaborate with the Finance Transformation Manager to develop robust business cases for project implementation.
    • Document business requirements clearly and concisely to ensure stakeholder understanding.
    • Participate in project development, testing, and solution documentation.
    • Prepare process/guidance notes for the transition to Business As Usual (BAU).
    • Contribute to post-project assessments and communicate changes to senior stakeholders.
    • Stay informed of industry trends and technologies to optimize operations and performance.
    • Support driving good Conduct for the business to enhance outcomes for customers and policyholders.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles under UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
    • Extensive experience in the general specialty non-life insurance sector.
    • Familiarity with industry best practices and practical implementation approaches.
    • Excellent data modeling and manipulation skills.
    • Proficiency in writing business requirements, testing, and process documentation.
    • University degree in a related field of study.
    • Accountancy qualification such as ICAEW, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, etc.
