    Product Security Lead



    This role presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of a top-tier Cybersecurity team. As a Product Security Lead (PSL), you will collaborate closely with technology and business partners to detect and assess security issues within their operations, enabling them to make swift and informed risk decisions at scale. You are a security expert proficient in both technical and communication skills, dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and innovation. Joining forces with brilliant cybersecurity and tech professionals, you will tackle intricate challenges that will enhance your expertise in a highly innovative and esteemed company.



    Core Product Security Responsibilities:

    • Cultivate Security Culture: Instill a security-conscious mindset across product teams, emphasizing sustainable controls and effective risk management. Integrate threat modeling, solutions architecture, and secure code reviews into product development to ensure secure outcomes from the outset.
    • Know Your Product: Gain a comprehensive understanding of your product's strategy, roadmap, and technological components. Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new technologies and identifying potential issues to drive continuous improvement.
    • Be the Security Thought Leader: Share insights and best practices across product and cybersecurity teams. Establish yourself as the go-to expert for IT Risk and Cyber domains within your product area.
    • Manage Emerging Issues: Monitor Key Risk Indicators proactively to detect and address issues promptly. Provide recommendations for resolution and address root causes effectively.
    • Collaborate Across the Supply Chain: Engage product, tech, and business teams in ongoing audit and risk activities. Ensure robust technology risk management for vendor engagements, focusing on emerging technologies like Cloud computing.


    Preferred Experience:

    • Seasoned experience in security and risk management with a strong technical background.
    • Worked in a regulated environment using a Line of Defence (3LoD) model.
    • Combination of delivery excellence and strategic vision.
    • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proficient in articulating complex technical concepts in simple terms.
    • Demonstrated success in influencing peers and cross-departmental collaboration.
    • Skilled in product technologies including Public Cloud computing, APIs, and microservices.
    • Proven ability to translate policy requirements into control design for tech teams.
    • Experience in financial services consumer businesses preferred.
    • Ability to think in terms of risks and outcomes to drive business goals.
    • Background in banking or similar risk-tolerant industries.
    • Track record of upskilling in new technologies.

The team's primary focus is on safeguarding the firm by maintaining its security, stability, and resilience. High Risk Roles (HRR) entail critical technology responsibilities that necessitate stringent staff integrity assurance due to the sensitive cybersecurity functions they entail or information they handle. Enhanced pre-employment screenings, including criminal and credit background checks, are mandatory for individuals in these roles prior to onboarding or assignment.
