Neighbourhood Coordinator (Housing Officer)

Travel :

There will be an element of remote/home working for this role, however, the successful candidate will need to travel frequently and have a visible presence on their patch and undertake mandatory compliance checks.

A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential. 45 per mile and is calculated from office to office. As a Housing association that specialises in providing accessible and adaptable homes, inclusion drives all that we do.

We are a sector leader in promoting inclusive housing design and our in-house expert team, Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) provides expert inclusion and accessibility training and consultancy to the housing industry and beyond.

You will be responsible for delivering housing services to our tenants at our schemes in Norfolk, Colchester, Norwich, and Thetford.

The role covers 126 properties in the patch so a clean driving license is essential, and Habinteg will also run an enhanced DBS check.

This is a generic and rewarding housing management role - and a challenging one.

You will be letting properties, carrying out scheme inspections, including key health and safety checks, helping tenants to keep up to date with their rent, and liaising with social services and occupational health services to ensure tenants can successfully maintain their tenancy and live independently.

You will have some experience and knowledge of housing management in the social housing sector and will be committed to Habinteg's inclusive housing mission.

Computer literacy is needed, as are sound written and verbal communication skills.

You will be flexible and agile in your approach, being able to adapt your approach to different circumstances and service demands.
