- NMC registration and active PIN
- NMC requirements for advanced practice nurse
- 2 years post qualification experience in general practice setting or equivalent
- Nurse-led management of minor illness, minor ailments, and injuries
- Nurse prescribing
- Recent primary and community nursing experience would be desirable but not essential.
- Advanced clinical practice skills
- Management of patients with long-term conditions
- Management of patients with complex needs
- Clinical examination skills
- Clinical review experience in asthma, COPD, diabetes would be desirable but not essential.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-directed practitioner
- Highly motivated
- Ability to work with clinical and administrative staff within the practice
- Leadership and mentorship clinical setting
