Born with cerebral palsy and paralysed down one side since birth, Haylea has been gleefully proving people wrong ever since.

Now a project officer, she brings faster broadband connectivity to Westminster businesses, boosting the economy for all.

Throw in her gong at the 2020 London Apprenticeship Awards, and it's clear for all to see just what can happen when you never give in.

The Role: As Service Assurance Officer (Parking), you can make your own powerful contribution in a role that you can really make your own. Our Parking and City Highways services have a high profile in the Council. After all, they're at the heart of keeping Westminster moving. Providing administrative or technical support for our teams and service providers, you'll handle lots of casework, and you'll maintain a range of systems, processes and procedures. You'll be responsible for evaluating investigations into disputed Penalty Charge Notices. You'll also monitor service providers' adherence to the standards set out in their contract. In everything you do, you'll drive for the best possible customer experience. You'll work with a wide range of diverse people here - from the junior colleagues you guide, to the colleagues and service providers you support. With a focus on maximising the quality and continuity of parking and highways services, you'll be encouraged to share any ideas you have for improving what we do. In return for your dedication, you'll benefit from lots of development opportunities, plus some flexibility with shifts and working hours. You'll also have the chance to work from home. Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You: We expect you to be highly organised and proactive in the way you work. You can identify, analyse and solve problems. And you're very comfortable using a computer. Crucially, you're a real team player. You've got all the communication and relationship building skills that come with a passion for customer service. Bring all those qualities to Westminster and we think you'll love being part of our team.

What We Offer: Westminster is an amazing place.
