    Description

    A brilliant Fixed Term Contract (potential to go perm) opportunity to work alongside an exprienced COO to help build out a finance function from scratch for one of the most exciting hedge fund launches in 2024

    The COO is looking to bolster the suppot around him during this build out.

    Our client is looking for an individual who will support him implement a strong robust financial control environment. This will be a highly focussed role but will interaction with the traders and middle office staff, family wider group company relationships within the group of companies, as well as looking after the financial controls of the hedge fund.,

    The role suitable for an individual with strong financial control experience, who can work along side the COO/CFO using their initiative drive and experience to craft and organise the financial control environment in this fast paced environment. The team has an highly focussed mindset and works from the office 5 days a week.

    The range of tasks will include working with the COO/CFO in the following areas:

    • Working with the outsourced Finance Function to maintain control over
      • General Ledgers
      • Purchase Order
      • Invoicing
      • Payments
      • Bank Reconciliation
      • VAT and LLP tax compliance
    • Internal controls
    • Set up full suite of internal financial controls over all finance functions
    • Purchase Order
    • Invoice control and payments
    • Bank accounts
    • Inter-company recharges
    • Expense control
    • VAT Control
    • Budgeting and Management Accounts
      • Set up cashflow forecasting
      • Build cashflow, P&L and balance sheet model
      • Build a full management accounts pack for presentation at the monthly Executive Management Committee
    • Ad hoc
      • Help the COO/CFO in any other ad hoc projects or issues that arise across DAM and the wider LMH group of companies.

    An amazing time to be joining this hedge fund and it does lend itself to giving someone the oppotunity to take this role on ASAP as so initially would be a 6 month contract with every chance it can go permanent.
