    Description

    Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to business partner one of our clinical divisions and support the overarching financial strategy of our £1bn+ high-performing NHS Foundation Trust.

    Working collaboratively you will ensure the delivery of a professional, dynamic and proactive service and take responsibility for providing comprehensive, proactive financial management support to a division.

    You will be a key part of the finance team providing overall financial leadership to the organisation, supporting the achievement of the finance team vision.

    Support the delivery of the Trusts financial targets and take day to day responsibility for the management and performance of the divisional Management Accounting team, ensuring the delivery of a professional, dynamic and proactive service.

    You will oversee the preparation and delivery of the monthly management accounts for the division, working with a wide range of stakeholders
    As a key member of the divisional board, you will provide clear, concise, and professional communication; supporting and developing financial models and scenarios for innovative new services and investments
    What were looking for You will be a people-focused, fully qualified finance professional, with clear communication skills and experience in financial management and financial strategy
    Working with a range of stakeholders, you will demonstrate a solid understanding of budgetary control processes, budget setting and financial planning, combined with a broad understanding of financial accounting and control issues
    With a supportive and flexible team around you to deliver, you will be able to present and explain financial information in a timely manner that can easily be understood by non-finance managers and key system partners

    Please note that we are recruiting for both a Finance Business Partner Clinical Division and an R&D Senior Finance Manager post.

    CCAB qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, ACCA) with post qualification experience at a senior level.
    Current / recent experience in a finance management role.
    Current / recent knowledge and understanding of the NHS financial environment.

    Broad understanding of financial accounting and control issues.
    Understanding of financial information systems and the ability to extract relevant information.
