    Art Editor (Scientific Illustrator), Nature Reviews

    Location: London, UK - Hybrid Working Model

    Full-Time, Permanent Role

    Join the team at Springer Nature as an enthusiastic and flexible art editor for the Nature Reviews series of STM journals. We are looking for someone to create scientifically accurate illustrations and decorative artwork for a selection of these prestigious journals.

    We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds to join us in London.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create scientifically accurate figures and decorative illustrations adhering to our house style.
    • Design monthly covers and web imagery.
    • Enhance data graphics in house style.
    • Retouch and label photographs and data renders.
    • Provide illustrations for articles and conduct picture research.
    • Manage workloads to meet press deadlines.
    • Design posters and infographics when needed.
    • Follow workflows and guidelines for efficient work processes.
    Skills and Experience:

    Essential:
    • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and preferably Adobe Photoshop.
    • Demonstrable artistic flair and creativity.
    • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven team setting.

    Desirable:
    • BA Honours in Graphic Design (Illustration) or equivalent.
