    Position Summary

    This role is at the core of the UKI Medical Strategy and Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director of Medical S&O. It serves as a strategic partner to the UKI medical functions, the broader medical S&O team and BMS Worldwide teams for strategic direction and /or execution of medical projects. Learning agility, flexibility, and forward-thinking mindset, paired with excellent coordination skills will be crucial for success in this highly matrixed, fast-paced role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Management:

  • Lead on the execution and delivery of key Medical S&O Projects for the UK/IE business, Identify areas for operational & system improvements to streamline and enhance business operations
  • Support the management of the BMS UK/IE compassionate supply programs [including Individual Patient Supply Requests (IPSR)] alongside the designated Medical point of contact and relevant lead, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required. This role will include:Operationalise and manage the systems and mailboxes used for IPSR/Early Access to Medicines Scheme (EAMS) and other unlicensed medicines requests to ensure successful and timely patient supply Maintain systems used to support compassionate supply programsEnsure the operational delivery of all elements required to allow for the successful supply of medicines to patients
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in audits, ensuring adherence to policy and present to Medical leadership if needed
  • Work in close collaboration with the Medical Operations Manager to ensure timely patient supply
  • Impact assessment Lead:

  • Collate and report on impact and outcome measures for Medical Affairs projects centrally, across the UK/IE Medical organisation
  • Lead on the strategic development and execution of methods to measure impact for Medical Affairs activities and initiatives, as well as developing suitable methods to report on outcomes
  • Lead on the development of strategies to support with continuous improvement and feedback mechanisms for initiatives and projects
  • Lead on the delivery of achievement summaries for the organisation to ensure the value of Medical Affairs is visible to the wider business
  • Real World Data (RWD) oversight:

  • Ensure oversight and appropriate information tracked for all RWD/Non-Interventional Research (NIR) activities across all portfolios for UK/IE
  • Be the external representative for RWDG initiatives for the UK/IE (e.g. Working groups)
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced tertiary level education (i.e. degree or Masters). Scientific background preferred
  • Project co-ordination skills supporting diverse teams at different levels in a business environment
  • Understanding and working knowledge of epidemiology and data generation
  • Exceptional ability to work and lead cross functionally (internal or external) in highly matrixed structure
  • Previous experience in budgeting, project and change management (formal qualifications in change and/ or project management are a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of broader healthcare landscape and pharmaceutical business operations
  • Excellent communicator, proficiency in all Office business applications. Knowledge of SAP, Concur, Veeva applications, Sharepoints, Teams is also desirable
  • Demonstrates passion for serving patients with a high unmet medical need
  • Solution-orientated approach to problem-solving and in identifying opportunities for improvement
  • High personal integrity with a strong motivation to ensure compliant and ethical activities for the business
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and demonstrate professional judgement
  • Knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice and Project management experience with RWD or with projects within the pharmaceutical industry is desirable
  • Leadership and delivery of innovative approaches to projects/initiatives
