    Description
    This is an opportunity to join an established real estate special situations investor.

    They have raised a new discretionary fund so have lots of capital to investYou will see a variety of deals as they have a mandate to lend and invest across the capital stack in the UK and Continental EuropeYou will work with and learn from some talented leadersThey have a positive, collegiate working environmentWhat they need:Circa 4 years of transaction experience gained in:Real estate lending.

    Likely to be in the structured finance team of an investment bank or an alternate lender. They would consider a corporate banking REF team but you would need to demonstrate strong cash flow modelling expertise.
    Real estate investing.

    Likely to be a value-add, special situations investor than somebody from an institutional team with a core investing background but they are open minded.

    Real estate corporate finance. From a bulge bracket or boutique investment bank.

    Strong analytical and financial modelling skillsUnderstanding of debt structuring, documentation and credit process fundamentals, as well as strong problem solving abilitiesAbility to manage complex and shifting prioritiesEntrepreneurial character and self-motivatedA positive and proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a small and growing teamA more detailed job specification:Transaction screening and due diligence for potential debt and equity investments across a variety of European real estate asset classesFull underwriting and modelling of transactionsCompiling and issuing term sheetsAssisting in-house and third party lawyers with the structuring and documentation of transactionsCollaborate with in-house and external advisers on the structuring of investments from a Tax and Regulatory perspectiveOngoing monitoring of investments, debt & equityMonitoring and reporting on individual investment and overall Fund performanceLiaison with key stakeholders, both internal and external, on investment performanceAssist senior personnel on the origination of new real estate debt investments.

    SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE, BUT UP TO £100K + DISCRETIONARY, PERFORMANCE-RELATED BONUS UP TO 100% IN YOUR FIRST FULL YEAR (subject to performance).
