    About Our Client

    The client I have the pleasure of representing is an integral part of the arts community within the Not For Profit and Charities sector in Salford. They protect, promote and preserve art functions for the wider community and the surrounding area. They take great pride in their working environment and offer an inclusive and diverse workplace.

    Job Description

    The key responsibilities of a Head of Finance include, but may not be limited to:

    • Lead and drive an optimistic culture in delivering the clients vibrant strategy and outcomes.
    • Create and maintain positive and effective relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
    • Guide and develop a proactive and professional team to ensure that Finance and Purchase Ledger delivery targets are achieved and effective systems, policies and training are developed and embedded across the organisation.
    • Lead and manage the delivery of all organisational financial reporting requirements including statutory accounts, VAT, Office of National Statistics and DCMS and production of monthly management accounts.
    • Lead the continuous development of management information including derivation and monitoring of KPI's and key accounting ratios and metrics.
    • To inspire colleagues by embodying the essence of the charity through improvements and developments.

    The Successful Applicant

    The successful a Head of Finance should possess:

    • Not For Profit and Charities background/ experience.
    • Business partner experience/ Managerial experience supporting financial and non-financial managers
    • Exceptional IT skills
    • The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
    • Experience of developing as well as, implementing strategic planning with teams and leaders to deliver business objectives.
    • Experience managing resources (finance, equipment and people) and performance.
    • Experience with systems development.
    • Ability to commute to Salford.

    What's on Offer

    On offer to the candidate:

    • Excellent hourly rate between £ £24.50 per hour
    • 3-month temporary contract with the likelihood of extension.
