    Job Description

    We are excited to be supporting a leading global hedge fund that values technology and data science to address business complexities. They are building a strong Quant Technology team focused on developing innovative in-house analytics and trade discovery tools. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to oversee a team of Junior Data Scientists in their London office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Creating advanced algorithms and models to extract actionable insights from large datasets, delivering valuable predictions for trading teams.
    • Working closely with trading teams to identify potential prediction targets and relevant datasets.
    • Conducting initial research to assess the feasibility and potential success of identified targets.
    • Developing and implementing complex machine learning algorithms essential for daily trading decisions and operations.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated expertise in applying deep learning and advanced machine learning techniques in the finance sector.
    • Experience in leading a team of Junior Data Scientists.
    • Proficient in data forecasting, analysis, prediction, and generating trading signals from datasets.
    • Hands-on experience with TensorFlow (and/or Keras), scikit-learn, and related tools, along with proficiency in Python programming.
    • Strong analytical and mathematical skills necessary for model development and validation.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges.
    • Effective communication skills crucial for team collaboration and the ability to thrive independently in a dynamic environment.
