- High-level and low-level design documents, test specifications, maintenance manuals.
- Installation of (as dictated by customer requirements):
- Windows in bare-metal and (primarily VMware) virtual environments.
- Various (integrated control system) COTS products.
- SIEM solutions.
- Configuration of Windows and COTS products to meet user requirements and customer/industry standards.
- Perform vulnerability scanning and address any resultant issues.
- Troubleshoot installation/configuration issues.
- Internal/customer testing and resolution of any resultant issues.
- On site commissioning.
- At least 5 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration.
- Proven experience in System Design and Troubleshooting.
- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to recommend solutions to complex technical problems.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience securing Windows systems.
- Ability to manage and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Ability to perform capacity planning, performance tuning and optimization.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems.
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and performant.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Windows systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and implement new systems.
- Plan and execute software and security patches and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and obsolescence plans.
- Help develop junior members of the team.
