Ecology and biodiversity is a relatively new offering forLanpro complementing our strong planning and design capability. Therole will suit you if you are excited by leadership autonomy andownership.

JobPurpose

As an Associate Director /Technical Director and London ecology team leader you will beresponsible for all aspects of growing and managing a successfulecology business at a local (south east area) level. You willreport to our Director of Ecology Hannah Broughton who isresponsible for leading the ecology and biodiversity businessacross the UK. You will work closely alongside and be supported byour Associate Director of ecology in Cambridge Rebecca Little whowill be your counterpart in the Cambridge area. We do not work insilos you will contribute to the success of the ecology businessacross the UK.

You will steer thecareer paths of your team set a healthy culture and lead byexample. You will take a leadership role in planning projects andcoordinating and overseeing delivery. You will be an ambassador forthe company undertaking business development through building uponexisting client relationships and actively seeking opportunitiesfor future business whilst also taking a leadership role indeveloping the teams core competencies.

KeyResponsibilities

Developingourselves and others

• Builds and leadsa successful ecology and biodiversity team based in the Londonarea.

• Helps to ensureall members of the team are effectively developed and is committedto personal CPD in pursuit of continuous learning andselfimprovement.
• Brings fresh ideas to teamgrowth and structure in a challenging recruitmentmarket.

Delivering ourprojects

• Day to day line management ofthe London ecology and biodiversityteam.
• Performs a challenging range and varietyof complex technical and professional activities in the pursuit ofproject excellence.
• Ensures compliance andadherence to all applicable SHEQ procedures for self andothers.
• Takes a key role in projects withinrelevant specialist field.
• Project Director /Project Manager / Discipline Lead for projects of all scales andcomplexities.
• Maintains continuing professionaldevelopment in accordance with the requirements ofCIEEM.

Qualifications& Experience

• Inexcess of 10 years relevant experience.
• MCIEEM/ CEcol / CEnv preferred.
• Leadership /management experiencepreferred.
