    Financial Crimes Manager (FCM), AML, Terrorist Financing, Bribery, Corruption, Economic Crime Reform, Advocacy, Policies - London / Hybrid (once weekly)

    Working in the Financial Crime team, focusing on achieving the goals of the Economic Crime Product and Service Board, which involves developing financial crime policies and strategies.

    Working closely with the Principal of Financial Crime, tasks include serving as a secretariat for panels coordinating activities across areas communicating with members and assisting in policy and strategy development. This includes acting as a secretariat for committees offering support on policies related to Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Bribery and Corruption well as International Illicit Finance and contributing to key priorities within the Economic Crime Reform agenda.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing committees and working groups preparing documents and presentations for UK Finance committees, drafting briefs and responses to consultations, managing project timelines and building relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with members, government entities and regulators to shape economic crime policies and strategies by leading consultation responses supporting staff in policy projects addressing economic crime issues related to banking access initiatives and participating in dialogues.
    • Communication is crucial in this role; responsibilities involve facilitating member communications, on financial crime matters to enhance levels by delivering newsletters and ensuring documents are shared widely.
    • Qualifications consist of written communication abilities, interpersonal skills, proactive recognition of policy prospects, effective project management, strategic planning, self driven initiative, collaboration and a dedication to achieving goals.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Technical knowledge of economic crime, in particular money laundering, bribery and corruption and/or fraud.
    • Policy development
    • Engagement with diverse stakeholders, e.g. law enforcement, regulators and HMG
    • Financial crime legislation and regulations
    • Verbal briefings to internal committees
    • Presentation skills
    • Policy or strategy experience
    • EU/international affairs experience
