    Description
    A 6 month Fixed Term Contract to support a system transformation project
    With potential permanent opportunities within the business following the 6 months
    Full-time and flexible role - our Support Centre is located in Kearsley - M26 1GG with onsite parking and canteen facilities

    In this role, you will be working closely with the internal development team and departments within the organisation to implement and develop web-based applications for use throughout the organisation and externally
    Collaborate with the existing development team to understand project requirements and contribute to the design and implementation of web-based applications and internal systems
    Utilize C# and Entity Framework to develop robust and scalable backend components for the website and internal applications
    Work on integrating and customizing a Content Management System (CMS) to manage website content efficiently
    Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure effective integration of server- logic with user-facing elements
    Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices
    Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
    Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
    Proven experience as a software developer with a focus on web application development
    Strong proficiency in C# and experience with Entity Framework for database interaction
    Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and the ability to customize and integrate them into web applications
    understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control
    Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
    Knowledge of security best practices in web application development
    Ideally Previous experience with the specific CMS (Sitefinity) and APIs relevant to the project
    Azure, AWS) for deployment and hosting
