    Description

    In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding and strengthening our litigation team, while also actively contributing to the generation of new business opportunities.

    Becoming a testifying expert in your own right and building and maintaining a professional profile in key markets and professional registers is a key aspect of this position, as is fostering and developing a team across multiple FRA locations.

    Our growing litigation and arbitration practice is centered around leveraging accounting, financial, and data analysis expertise to assist our clients in addressing their critical issues.

    You will work closely with a team of testifying and consulting experts to tackle challenges across EMEA region and in a wide range of sectors and will be a collaborative influence.


    Building and leading the litigation and arbitration team:

    You will be responsible for working with the EMEA disputes management team in developing and enhancing a team of professionals with expertise in quantum calculation and valuation.

    This includes hiring, training, and providing guidance to team members.

    This involves actively networking, leveraging existing and establishing wider relationships with potential clients, and showcasing the firm's expertise in litigation, arbitration, accounting, financial analysis, and data analysis.

    You will be expected to build on your experience and case history to become a testifying expert in your field by staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

    This expertise will enable you to provide high-quality services to clients and guide your team effectively.

    Working closely with client and experts, you will address complex issues in commercial litigation and arbitration, business valuations, and contentious investigations.

    This may involve conducting financial damage analysis, determining lost profits, valuing businesses and assets, and assessing the work performed by independent auditors.

    You will lead and coordinate the input of others to the preparation of expert reports, ensuring they accurately present the analysis, findings, and conclusions.

    In certain cases, you may be required to testify in court as an expert witness based on your analysis and expertise.


    Statistical analysis:

    This involves working with large data sets, creating and managing financial models, and applying statistical analysis techniques to derive insights and make informed decisions.

    Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics or professionally qualified accountant e.g. ACCA, CPA, CFA, CFE etc. Deep experience in litigation and arbitration, forensic investigation/advanced data analytics techniques; prior professional and financial services experience strongly preferred
    Proven track record of establishing credibility with clients and senior stakeholders quickly, creating business development opportunities and leading written and/or oral proposals to clients
    Possess a developed network of current contacts in the market and a positive market profile
    Strong appetite to enhance and participate in the leadership of a successful forensic expert team
    Demonstrate a practical understanding of the legislative and risk management requirements
    Hands on experience of leading, scoping and defining large and complex projects which run concurrently
    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop larger teams with particular focus on personal and professional growth to contribute to revenue generation
    Proven track record of managing the risks and financials associated with client engagements
    Proven ability to clearly articulate complex and technical findings in both written and oral presentations for a variety of audiences including those not well versed in the technical aspects of Data Analytics
    Willingness to travel and support opportunities and activity across EMEA region
