Divisional Personal Assistant - Ipswich, United Kingdom - East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust
Description
Job overview
Are you interested in becoming a key part of innovative and forward-thinking organisations, developing your leadership skills across traditional health and social care boundaries? If the answer is yes, then we would like to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health or social care professional to join our team of Integrated Neighbourhood Team Managers. Based in the lovely county of Suffolk, this is a key role to support the development of integrated working across health and social care in Ipswich and East Suffolk, through the development and management of the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, including the associated Connect. The posts will have joint accountability to Adult Social Care in Ipswich and East Suffolk (Suffolk County Council) and to East Suffolk and North East Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).
Integrated Neighbourhood Teams bring health and social care services together to provide a single coordinated care response that is underpinned by prevention, self-care, early intervention, reablement and rehabilitation rather than longer term treatment and lifelong service dependency. The role will be a key player in building relationships within the Connect community.
If you wish to apply you are invited to evidence how you meet the requirements of the job role in the supporting evidence part of the application form in no more than 1000 words.
Main duties of the job
Based in Ipswich, you will manage the South Rural INT which covers the geography of the stunning Constable country towns and surrounding villages of Hadleigh and East Bergholt. The main purpose of this role is to develop, directly manage and lead the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT), reporting to Senior management teams across both organisations. Responsibility for leading on specific clinical/care governance activity will lie with the post holder, which will include the setting and monitoring of standards and performance, responding to complaints, staff support, learning, development, supervision, and the implementation of policy and Practice/clinical guidelines.
In addition, you will oversee the implementation of the health and care strategy at neighbourhood level working closely with all partners including primary care, acute care, specialist services, mental health services, housing, the voluntary sector and care providers.
Working for our organisation
We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics and in patients' own homes.
We are one of the largest NHS organisations in England, employing more than 12,000 staff.
We pride ourselves on supporting our staff. We offer a wide range of training and development opportunities, as well as flexible working options.
Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offer a variety of services.
Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients.
We are investing in our commitment to Time Matters with a partnership with leading electronic patient record (EPR) supplier Epic. This digital transformation will bring what's widely regarded as the world's best EPR system to ESNEFT, transforming life in hospital for staff and patients.
If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge, then we want to hear from you.
