    Legal Administrator - Leeds, United Kingdom - Kennedys

    Description

    Kennedys is looking for a Legal Administrator to join our Leeds office. The role will include acknowledging new instructions, creating court bundles, identifying key dates/deadlines, liaising with team to complete client deadlines and general office admin duties, in a paperless environment.

    Team

    Our national practice services personal injury claims from seven office locations across the UK. We act on complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognised as market leaders in this sector. We are often instructed on UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations via our international offices.

    We avoid unnecessary lawyering and are focused on working in partnership with our clients and delivering modern solutions, including our in-house R&D capability and award-winning product suite of technological and process innovations.

    Key responsibilities

  • Support all fee-earners in delivering relevant non-billable work and demonstrate quality in a timely way to
    build strong trust in the Secretarial team
  • Undertake file closure and archiving when required
  • Deal accurately with electronic filing in line with the department's process for maintaining accurate and up to date information on the matter file
  • Deal with administrative requirements for all members of the team
  • Required experience

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, knowledge of BigHand or Service Desk Plus
  • Good literacy and numeracy
  • Good typing skills
