    Description
    Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

    We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

    Job DescriptionThis pivotal role within the Seatrade Maritime brand of Informa Markets will focus on the creation, development and delivery of conference content to support several event brands.

    The role will report into the Content Director and requires a specific blend of skills to carry out detailed research, often on highly technical topics, combined with proactive pursuit of high-level executives securing them to speak at our events.

    It requires someone with the intellectual creativity to write detailed conference agendas routed in industry & customer research, and the entrepreneurialism to understand the value proposition for our business, audience, contributors and sponsors.

    This role is key to our business objectives to grow audience engagement year-round working closely with all teams within the group.

    It is the corner stone to the Seatrade Maritime brand position as a leading provider of unique maritime content in the business-to-business information sharing world.

    Own the creation and delivery of unique, innovative and industry-leading maritime conference content.


    To achieve this, you will:


    Use multiple techniques to research and explore industry trends and topics, often at a highly technical level, to create engaging conference agendas.

    Work collaboratively with editorial, sales and audience development colleagues to understand market and customer feedback to complement your research.
    Have the ability to understand and cater to geographical and cultural nuances in what is truly a global industry.

    Identify and recruit influential and engaging speakers with appropriate specialisms and experiences in perfect alignment with conference agendas and topics.

    Keep abreast of competitor and customer content continuously to ensure minimal "speaker fatigue" and to keep our content fresh, unique and relevant.

    Embrace Seatrade's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) values to play our part in the evolution of our industry's DEI landscape.

    Develop and enhance the format of live events to maximise audience engagement.
    Produce creative and world-class content description copy for marketing colleagues to maximise the effectiveness of promotional campaigns.

    Support content marketing initiatives such as webinar & podcast campaigns which act as marketing engagement tools in the lead up to event execution.

    Influence, manage and maximise impact of content budgets ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to Event Managers.
    Contribute to, and utilise outputs from, multiple customer feedback mechanisms working collaboratively with colleagues across the team.
    Contribute to plans to increase volume and relevance of audience at live events.
    Develop, evolve and help maintain a database of contributors/speakers.
    Travel to events globally where required to manage on-site delivery of conferences.
    QualificationsDemonstrable conference management & content production experience in a B2B environment.
    Minimum 5 years' experience in content curation / production.
    Experience with budget management.
    Meticulously organised.
    Excellent written and spoken English essential.
    Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    Knowledge of the maritime industry would be extremely advantageous but not an essential requirement. However, a desire to rapidly build knowledge and become relatively expert in the global maritime industry is essential.
    Naturally curious and capable of comprehending complex professional markets and workflows.
    Willing to travel.
