    • We are in search of an individual with a strong passion for the industry to join our expanding team. This position involves working closely with a senior Investment Manager to support in managing client portfolios.
    • The responsibilities will include aiding in portfolio management, handling administrative tasks, and managing client interactions.
    • Comprehensive training will be provided for this role, along with access to formal industry certifications, fostering a collaborative environment to accomplish team objectives and progress towards becoming an Investment Manager.

    As a Trainee Investment Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the client experience within a team setting. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
    • Creating investment proposal documents
    • Developing client review presentations and data
    • Engaging actively in team investment discussions
    • Upon reaching a required qualification level, rebalancing client portfolios and assisting in managing client relationships
    • Executing payments and utilizing discretion in cash allocation or new fund investments
    • Monitoring team investment models
    • Issuing valuations, tax documents, and regular reports
    You will closely collaborate with clients and their representatives to deliver top-notch service, providing information and updates on their portfolios. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

    Given the central nature of your role within the team, you will also support in general administrative tasks, which may vary daily but typically involve answering calls, preparing presentations, drafting letters, and maintaining records.

    Core competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is fundamental. Familiarity with Excel functions like VLOOKUP, IF, and SUMIF is necessary, and a willingness to learn more to enhance efficiency is valued. Knowledge of Macros and Pivot tables can be advantageous.

    Ideally, you have prior experience as a Trainee Investment Manager or in a Portfolio Manager role, seeking greater responsibility and career progression.
    To excel in this role, you should be an independent and innovative professional, driven to work in a dynamic, forward-thinking team. Having a keen interest in financial services or a solid understanding of the sector will allow you to leverage your expertise in investment management. Effective communication skills are essential.

    Preferably, you possess a Financial Qualification such as the IAD, or a level 4 CISI, and are progressing towards attaining the CISI Wealth Management Qualification at level 7.
